Nowadays, the techniques of education are rapidly changing. New technological advancements allow the role of technology in society and education to change. While the classic books and pencils are still in use, they are being used less than before.
Instead of writing in books texts are typed or written using a stylus (a pen that writes on certain applications and devices). Textbooks are available online and can be downloaded. However, there are mixed feelings about this change. This article shall give information on how technology changes educative experiences and how it improves them.
Technology can be used in various ways to enhance learning experiences. Interactive software can be used to create an astounding experience that wasn’t possible decades prior. Now it is possible to make your own software and share it with your peers. For example, Kahoot. You can make one yourself and compete against others.
As it is able to be personalised, certain aspects of subjects can be targeted to help revise for tests and imprint the information into your long-term memory. Another similar application is Quizlet. The flashcards available are helpful as is the matching game. There are many ways to implement these new applications into education throughout your life. These sites provide a fun and easily accessible way to learn. All through the help of technology.
The way technology replaces other seemingly mandatory mundane supplies is truly extraordinary. As textbooks can be downloaded there is no need to carry them around. Pencils are unnecessary when all you need is a stylus to accompany your device. Writing is also possible for those who would prefer to write rather than type information. Weight is, quite literally, lifted off the pupil’s shoulders when remembering to bring all the necessary equipment ceases to be a worry upon their minds.
Worry decreases mental wellbeing, which is essential for any type of learning to take place. The better their mental state means they will possess a larger ability to focus on the main task at hand. Effectively making the learning process and the everyday lives of students much easier. Replacing things with technology benefits everyone who is willing to place the extra effort and try.
But many people may not be able to afford technology in the first place. Technology can be very expensive and demanding as it requires repairs and maintenance to keep working properly. However, second-hand devices come at an affordable price, and most are kept in a fairly working condition.
Most schools also have loans available for you to use at a relatively cheap price instead of owning one yourself.
There are plenty of choices in the vast industry, many different devices for you to choose from; so you can choose which is easier for you to integrate into your everyday life. In addition to this, using less paper combats need for it. Lessening pollution and reducing global warming which is an increasingly drastic problem in today’s society.
Using modern technology to provide solutions to modern problems is something scientists, geniuses and successful entrepreneurs, like Bill Gates, do for a living, and to change the way people think about these problems.
As technology is improving, we must change accordingly to have it sustained and to implement it into our lifestyles as well as changing the technology itself to suit our needs. Ways to revise, replace school supplies and affordability is a factor, as well as care for our one and only home planet.
Education is a target that has been painted into the workshop of designers, and the arrow has hit the bullseye.
