Balancing workplace health and safety risks alongside conflicting laws and insurance obligations is quite the juggling act, so how should educators assess and manage risks?
Lucy Bochenek, Special Counsel, Clyde & Co will be holding a session on workplace health and safety risk management for schools at the upcoming Education Law Masterclass being held in Sydney this August.
The session will look at effectively balancing the conflicting obligations between the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and the Education Act 2013 when dealing with concerning student behaviour, how to avoid common health and safety pitfalls and assessing new risks and responding to them appropriately.
