Australian Education Awards 2022: Highlights
Education professionals from across Australia flocked to a sold-out Doltone House in Darling Island for the Australian Education Awards, after being hosted virtually for the past two years.
The hotly-anticipated gala event, which sold out weeks in advance, recognised the best and brightest from the Australian K-12 education sector during the past year – one that was every bit as eventful for the country’s leading schools, principals, department heads and teachers as the previous one.

Alison Fahlbusch: [00:00:26] It's wonderful. It's a great networking opportunity. Even talking to the sponsors here this evening, it's been really, really wonderful.

Scott Dorari: [00:00:59] Well, again, we're lucky that we work with such talented people, teachers, students and support from parents. But it's based on the belief that every child matters every day. So making sure that that's the point of difference.
Linda Sweet: [00:01:11] Absolutely amazing. It's fabulous to be an early learning educator and to win this award is absolutely fabulous.
Margaret Clark: [00:01:21] Oh, it's amazing. I mean, we've been online for a couple of years, so this is totally different.
Franca Dillon: [00:01:48] And everyone's doing it hard. Teaching's not getting any easier. It's getting very challenging as leaders as well and these sort of awards. To tell you the truth. Putting it together helps the self-esteem of our staff.
Shane Doherty: [00:01:59] This win is for them. That's the teachers and all of the other staff that make it work and make our school such a great school.
