Bugge takes great joy from being able to mentor young women, empowering them to develop self-expression and ultimately, independence for life after school by fostering empathy, resiliency, and wisdom.
Armed with a balanced suite of skills and expertise to meet the demands of her role, Bugge has taken a mentoring role within her department, encouraging and supporting her staff while prioritising professional growth, being conscious of new developments, and demanding high performance. She has implemented and continues to make constructive changes to achieve stronger learning fulfillment and collegiality. This includes developing quality assessment tasks, implementing quality professional development opportunities, enforcing open communication, creating learning partnerships, offering constructive feedback, encouraging staff to take positive risks, and enhancing staff wellbeing and morale.
Bugge has also presented subject-based professional development workshops for AIS and ACHPER in relation to innovative Stage-6 assessments, along with completing five years of HSC marking and sharing this expertise with her staff. Her recent achievements include the establishment of Loreto’s first stage-six dance course for 2020.
