Plumpton High School
Plumpton High School’s Business and Community Partnership program opens doors to networks that its students would not even know existed. The school’s program demonstrates to corporate Australia that its students are as capable as those from less disadvantaged communities, and in many instances have a greater level of resilience, courage and work ethic given their life circumstances and challenges. The results of students then gaining employment in corporate Australia and industry increases the number of champions who can then advocate on behalf of other students from socioeconomic disadvantaged areas increasing their access to similar opportunities in the future, influencing positive change in society. The school currently has approximately 40 business and educational partners in a combination of multinational corporations, not for profit, local business, university and TAFE partners running over 40 programs.
