Gregory Grinham, Granville Public School
principal
Greg Grinham has utilised his passion for education and the community to make Granville Public School as not just a place for quality teaching and learning, but also as a focal point for the Granville community.
Grinham’s strategic leadership and restructuring of the School Strategic Management Plan has led to improvements in teacher practice. Under this program, a total of nine of teaching staff were removed from class duties and engaged in quality teaching for successful learning. Five of these instructional leaders work with the teaching staff from Preschool to Grade 2, and another with teaching staff from Grade 3 to 6 and the support unit. The program focuses on both English and Mathematics; with an emphasis on both language development and problem solving. Another initiative Grinham pioneered was the P2K Transition Program for students who start school at 4 years and 6 months.
Grinham has also overseen the development of a Community Hub building, within the school grounds, and fully funded by the school so that parents and members of the Granville community can engage in educational programs.
