This week’s top story: A survey of principals, released by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) – titled: PISA 2015: reporting Australia’s results – has shed light on the extent they see learning in their schools being hindered by teachers and students. Read more here.
In other news: Students will now sit pen and paper NAPLAN tests next year after all States and Territories abandoned the online trials after technical glitches were discovered. The pilot test was thrown into disarray on Wednesday after Victoria, Western Australia and the ACT followed Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and NSW out of the trials. Read more here.
