Brigidine College Indooroopilly
Brendan Cahill was appointed Principal of Brigidine College Indooroopilly in 2012. Since this time, Brendan has implemented vital change including a digital transformation, the construction of state-of-the-art facilities and the recruitment of a committed, driven and authentic College Leadership Team. Throughout Brendan’s career, he has worked in seven schools in the state, independent and Catholic sectors. Dedicated to life-long learning, Brendan possesses a Bachelor of Education (Deakin), Master of Education (QUT), Graduate Diploma in Theology (ACU), Diploma of Curriculum Administration (Deakin) and a Post Masters Certificate in Theology (Boston College USA). Brendan is actively involved in several groups including the QCEC Finance Committee, QCEC Workplace Relations, Chair of CaSSSA, QCAA Curriculum, Assessment and Certification Committee and QCTs QPERF Review Reference Group.
In leading an innovative educational body, Brendan has developed a range of empowering positions for women and men to lead their careers and others to provide mastery and engagement in the contemporary world. An Assistant to Principal Professional Teaching & Learning was appointed under Brendan’s direction as a dedicated resource to nurture Brigidine’s teachers. By developing unique, supportive and encouraging programs tailored to individual professional teacher needs, employees consider their learning is an investment in shaping their careers and improving student outcomes.
