Strathcona Girls Grammar
Providing leadership in girls’ education Marise McConaghy leads the Alliance of Girls’ Schools Australasia and Strathcona Girls Grammar. She also invests in and collaborates on research studies relevant to girls’ education, ensuring that research findings are shared with educators in all sectors to optimise teaching and learning in the classroom for girls.
Marise contributes to raising awareness of the philosophy and practices of girls’ schools to educate the public on the latest research, facts and statistics on educating girls and what girls’ schools are doing to successfully counter gender bias. By sharing these philosophies and practices with all educators of girls — whether in girls’ schools or co-ed schools — best practices in teaching and learning for girls are widely disseminated and ultimately outcomes for girls and women are improved.
