Vida Bliokas is an associate professor at University of Wollongong’s (UOW) School of Psychology. She is also a fellow at the Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute (IHMRI), president of Australian Clinical Psychology Association, and an executive member of Illawarra Shoalhaven Suicide Prevention Collaborative. Bliokas’ research focus is on rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology and aged care, mental health, and suicide prevention. Bliokas and her team from UOW and IHMRI recently received a $100,000 grant under Suicide Prevention Australia’s Innovation Grant scheme, for their two-year project investigating gender differences in the outcome of suicide prevention service, the Next Steps Aftercare Program.
