Helen Bartlett has recently become the vice-chancellor and president of the University of the Sunshine Coast. Her new post is a continuance of her distinguished career in academia and university management, which also spans the UK and Hong Kong. Armed with her invaluable experience in leading institutions serving diverse communities, and deep appreciation for the role and potential of regional universities, the accomplished executive leader and internationally recognised scholar in gerontology will build on the unwavering success USC has experienced over the past 15 years, exemplified by the university’s expansion into new regions, outstanding student outcomes, satisfaction and employability, igrowth in research stature, and close and meaningful engagement with its communities.
