Deborah Terry, University of Queensland
UQ vice-chancellor and president
Deborah Terry, with her deep knowledge of the university sector, her focus on people and culture, and her track record in building partnerships with government and enterprise at home and abroad, has become vice-chancellor and president of the University of Queensland. Under her leadership, Curtin, one of Australia’s rapidly rising universities, is expected to continue to grow in scale and reach regionally and globally. Prior to the appointment, Terry was vice-chancellor at Curtin University for six years. She started her career in education in 1990 at UQ in the School of Psychology, where she served for more than two decades.
