Christian Moro has driven cutting-edge research, innovation, and positive change at Bond University. He is the science lead of the Bond University Medical Program, a member of the CSIRO’s STEM professionals in Schools program, and a volunteer at local schools and community centres where he actively promotes science. This former secondary science teacher has introduced virtual and augmented reality and holograms into his medical and biomedical science lessons. He has also appeared as a regular Science presenter on both TV and online sources, as well as on radio; and has even utilised Instagram, YouTube, computer games, and other media to make learning more fun, engaging, and interactive.
Moro’s passion for and dedication to Science, research, and teaching have earned him a number of awards, including an Australian Teaching Excellence Award by AAUT & Universities Australia, a citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning by the Australian Government’s AOLT, and the Emerging Leader Award at the AFR Higher Education Awards 2019.
