It may only be January, but Malaysian parents can start enrolling their children for the 2019 school term this March, Malaysian Digest reports.
According to MyGovernment, the online registration will begin from 1 March 2018 up to 30 April 2018 – with children born between 2 January 2012 and 1 January 2013 having the eligibility to enter Standard One in 2019.
Meanwhile, children who are born between 2 January 2013 and 1 January 2014 can enter Standard One in the year 2020.
Unfortunately, the online registration system is only available for students from Peninsular Malaysia, while students in East Malaysia are expected to register manually at their preferred schools.
Upon completing the online registration, parents are required to submit the relevant documents, such as copies of birth certificates and copies of utility bills to verify the address to the respective schools for verification purposes.
Parents who have previously registered an account can submit their child’s application here, while new users can create an account.
However, respective links are only accessible to everyone starting March 1.
